State-of-the-Art Women's Imaging Center Opens at Northern Westchester Hospital
Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) in Mt. Kisco, NY, celebrated the grand opening of its new Women's Imaging Center on Wednesday, October 22, 2008.
The Center, a key component in NWH's roster of women's services, offers comprehensive and personalized care including all digital mammography, breast MRI, Computer-Assisted Diagnostics (CAD) and state-of-the-art capabilities for ultrasound biopsy, MRI biopsy, and VIBRANT breast imaging, which produces more detailed pictures that will enhance physicians' diagnostic capability. In addition, NWH is the only facility in Westchester County to offer minimally invasive digital stereotactic breast biopsy. Women can now receive all of their screening and diagnostic studies in one location with the support and resources of NWH's medical and professional experts.
"Our goal was to make this Center the most comfortable, private, high-quality facility it could be and we believe we have achieved that," said NWH's Director of Imaging Services Dave Natoli. "We are proud to offer the newest technology in women's imaging, comparable to the most advanced hospitals in New York City."
All women's imaging services are provided in a comfortable and caring environment by certified staff members including two mammography specialists, an ultrasound technician, and the Center's new medical director, Dr. Bonnie Litvack, a fellowship-trained radiologist who is one of the foremost experts in breast imaging. She personally reviews every image and discusses findings directly with each patient. Additionally, the Center's design offers women privacy and an elegant modern décor, individual changing rooms, and white spa-like robes.
