Dr. Bonnie Litvak Joins Northern Westchester Hospital as Director of Women's Imaging
Bonnie Litvack, M.D., has been appointed the new director of Women's Imaging at Northern Westchester Hospital (NWH) in Mount Kisco. She will oversee the hospital's new Women's Imaging Center which offers state-of-the-art breast MRI, digital mammography, and state-of-the-art capabilities for ultrasound biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, and MRI biopsy. She joins the medical staff of Northern Westchester Hospital from White Plains Hospital Center, where she is a member of White Plains Radiology Associates.
Dr. Litvack received board certification in diagnostic radiology from the American College of Radiology in 1994. She is fellowship trained in MRI and brings extensive experience in all aspects of women's imaging to Northern Westchester Hospital.
Dr. Litvack graduated Cum Laude from a combined six-year biomedical program with an undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, and a medical degree from Albany Medical College. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in diagnostic radiology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She continued her medical training as a fellow in magnetic resonance imaging/body imaging at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.
She has served as the president of the Westchester County Medical Society and as president of the Westchester Academy of Medicine. Dr. Litvack has also served as the New York State Radiological Society's delegate to the Medical Society of the State of New York and is a counselor to the American College of Radiology. She is also an alternate delegate to the American Medical Association from the Medical Society of the State of New York.
During her career, Dr. Litvack has received numerous awards and honors including the Capital District Psychiatric Center Citation of Excellence in Community Service, the Suffolk County Medical Society Doctors of Tomorrow Scholarship, and a National Institute of Health Grant in Family Practice.
Dr. Litvack has presented her research at national and regional medical conferences. She is a member of the American College of Radiology, the American Medical Association, the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Radiologic Society of North America, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the Westchester County Medical Society.
