Dr. Marla Koroly Named Medical Director of Saw Mill Club
Northern Westchester Hospital's (NWH) Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Marla Koroly, M.D. was recently named medical director of the Saw Mill Club in Mount Kisco. The Saw Mill Club is a family owned and operated health club offering a variety of fitness equipment and programs and activities including tennis, swimming, spinning, group exercise, personal training, acupuncture, yoga, massage, and more.
In this role, Dr. Koroly will work with the management of the Saw Mill Club to provide joint screening and educational programs for Club members and the community, including a variety of expert physician speakers from NWH's medical staff, provide ongoing education to fitness trainers and instructors to enhance their depth of knowledge of cardiovascular risk factors and other medical conditions related to fitness and exercise, serve as a resource for medical issues and questions that arise, and provide medical support for the Club's summer camp program.
A resident of Somers, Dr. Koroly is a board-certified internal medicine specialist who joined NWH as CMO in 2004. She was awarded her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine, where she also completed her residency training in internal medicine. Dr. Koroly had been a practicing internal medicine physician in Yorktown and a member of the medical staff at NWH for nearly 20 years and is the council representative of the Hudson Valley region of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the American College of Physician Executives and the Westchester County Medical Society.
