During the building of the new Emergency Department, rest assured that the existing ED will remain fully functional and open 24/7...continuing to bring you the outstanding, state-of-the-art emergency care that earned NWH TOP 1% in the nation for patient satisfaction (click here). 

Highlights of the New Mary and David Boies Emergency Department:

• 25 private treatment rooms

• Distinct areas for pediatric, adult and behavioral health patients, and Fast Track for less urgent care

  • The Pediatric Suite provided by the generous support of the NWH Auxiliary
• Sustainable design and healing garden
• An eco-green roof, planted with grass to reduce water run-off and promote cooling in the warm weather
• Energy efficient with an abundance of natural light

Construction Update:

• Site work has begun
• Work on the foundation is scheduled to begin in late in 2009
• Estimated completion time for the new facility is 24 months
