Balance Center

The Balance Center at Northern Westchester Hospital provides diagnostic testing, evaluation and treatment for a range of balance disorders. A multi-specialty team provides comprehensive balance function testing including Computerized Dynamic Posturography, Rotational Chair and Video/Electronystagmography. Patients benefit from a coordinated approach to care and can receive all necessary evaluation, diagnostic testing and treatment recommendations at one facility.

The staff also provides patient education, counseling and referral, depending on the patient' diagnosis and need for follow up care. The Balance Center is under the medical direction of a physician who is board certified in Otolaryngology with additional training in Otology, Neurotology and Skull based surgery. This same specialty also offers advances such as Cochlear Implants to help the hearing impaired, including young children which is offered at Northern Westchester Hospital.

Dr. Lawrence Meiteles is Medical Director of the Balance Center at Northern Westchester Hospital.
